Leave Magnets - Gispen

2008

Richard Hutten was asked by the Museum Boijmans van Beuningen to make a proposal for remodeling the offices of the museum. He found that something had to happen to the in his opinion very ugly standard system ceiling. It seemed like a good idea to have the feeling of trees and leaves into the building, as he saw outside the office. This would than cover the ugly ceiling and also would hide the technical stuff like sprinkler installations. Since the ceiling was made of steel, he decided to use magnets to hang them. Now the leaves can be applied to anything of steel which is boring or ugly to make it playful and fun.
