Dombo Mug - Gispen
2000In 2000 Richard Hutten designed his world famous Dombo mug. This design set his reputation as an innovative designer for a big audience. Until today over 1 million pieces were sold. The idea for this design was to exaggerate the drinking movement by adding two big handles. The result is an ergonomic wonder. The cups are very easy to hold for young children, learning them to drink from their own cup fro the first time. Also elderly and disabled people use it for drinking coffee or wine, when they have problems holding a normal cup or glass. But the biggest asset of this cup is, according to Hutten, not that ergonomics, but the fact that it makes people happy and smile when they see and use it.
